A Christmas Carol with Pro Coro Canada & Vocal Collective

This holiday season, Pro Coro Canada joins forces with Vocal Collective for A Christmas Carol—a powerful, musical retelling of the classic story, featuring over 60 performers on stage under the direction of conductor Michael Zaugg.

Founded in 1981 by Michel Marc Gervais, Pro Coro Canada is one of Canada’s premier professional chamber choirs, known for artistic excellence and bold programming. Based in Edmonton, the 24-voice ensemble has been shaped by conductors including Gervais, Anders Eby (Sweden), Søren Hansen (Denmark), and Richard Sparks (USA). Since 2012, Michael Zaugg has served as Artistic Director. The choir has performed across Canada and commissioned and premiered over 80 works in the last 5 years.

Pro Coro also produced the Edmonton International Choral Festival, served on faculty at the Banff Centre, and runs a composer-in-residence program. In 2020, it received Choral Canada’s Innovation Award for its impact on Canadian choral music.
